What is the best way to get into retail with no retail/work experience?

I would assume most people with a lot of Retail experience must have started somewhere. I find that a lot of retailers won’t even give you a thought if you apply without retail experience.

Depending on how old you are &the availability you have you may have to start somewhere small &low paying. Stores like Sears &Target are constantly hiring and usually only look for a friendly face with the right availability. Being 18 or older also helps since they will be able to schedule you at any time that they please ¬ break any laws. Don’t give up. Keep trying most stores provide training anyway. Good luck.

Should I start my own business in photography?

I work at a portrait studio now and have been in photography for the last 8 years, part of me wants to go to school and learn enough about photography and how to run a small business. The other part is worried that Photography is a dying business with so many people doing their own photography with digital cameras & photoshop. Is it worth all that school ,money & time?

How do you keep unwanted neighborhood pets out of your yard in a safe way?

We just moved into a beautiful home and unfortunately our neighbor has about a half dozen cats and they seem to like our front yard as a litter box. (yuck!) We have three small children and no Pets so having to pick up after someone elses pets is not cool at all. Plus it’s unsanitary! What can use that is eco-friendly and safe. Thank you and all answers are welcomed!

Well, let’s see. A yard is tricky since it’s such a large area. I normally sprinkle raw, fresh pepper over the areas I don’t want any of my four cats (all indoor babies) getting into. They really don’t appreciate the sneezing attacks that ensue.

I don’t approve of all the options listed in this site, but it has some good suggestions that are eco-friendly.

Hey I want to dive into the internet marketing field. I know about blogs and what they are? But i dont know how to write good ones to get recognized. I mean what should i start blogging about? I mean should i stick to a particular area of interest or diversify myself. And also i need some few other tips about increasing my web presence. 1. Have a website, either a free blog or your own domain
2. Post at least twice a week in your blog targeted towards one Business, whatever it may be. This allows your "website" to be updated regularly which is beneficial in Search Engine Optimization.
3. Most newbies tend to eagerly create a new blog and stop it after 2 months due to lack of sales. The key is consistency and laser targeted goal. Example: Promote only one affiliate product and post anything and everything around the same topic.
4. Simple ways to increase web presence would be to leave comments on other related blogs, having a social network in Facebook or post videos in YouTube which show your website address.

Whats the difference between Ircd and Shell hosting?

I want to start my own Irc server. Whats the different kinds of hosting available, and can anyone recommend a hosting provider?

Ircd will run an IRC daemon on the server for you. You only get to control it – no other aspects of the server.

Shell hosting means that you can log into the server and execute any commands that you like, probably over ssh. That means that you can run an IRC daemon, but also a lot more stuff at once such as a web server. It is also harder to set up and maintain.

I recommend http://www.cheapvps.co.uk/ or http://vpslink.com/ for a shell server. They are both virtual private servers, so that it’s as if you have a whole computer to yourself, and you get to be the administrator. There are several virtual servers running on one real machine.

I’m afraid I’ve never used dedicated IRC Hosting so can’t comment on that.

How can I hook my PS3 up to my home theatre system?

I recently purchased a PS3 , and I was trying to hook it up to my home theatre system. It is currently hooked directly into the tv via the HDMI cable….which is by-passing the home theatre system. I wish to include the home theatre system, I attempted to use an optical audio cable from the console to the Home Theatre but it didn’t work…any suggestions…we would like to watch our blue-ray movies in full surround sound. Would a HDMI cable from the console to the home theatre and a second HDMI cable from the home theare to the tv solve the problems?

How do health insurance tax deductions work for a member managed LLC?

I own a business (LLC) with two other people. It is only us three; we do not have any additional employees. We pay for our health insurance through our business. Based on these facts, I was wondering how much I stand to save on my personal taxes. Is this a standard write off like any other business expense or does the IRS treat Health insurance differently?

Multiple member LLC’s can be taxed 3 different ways:

1. As a partnership
2. As a C corporation
3. As an S Corporation

The deductability of health insurance premiums for your LLC will depend on which of the 3 types of entities your LLC elected to be taxed at (the default is the partnership form of taxation).

Typically, you will be able to deduct 100% of your health insurance premiums although there are some specials considerations for owner/officers of S Corporations who own more than 2% of the company.

Is there anyway to loan furniture for a condo showing?

Hi experts – I am trying to sell my condo after a divorce so alot of the furniture has already been moved out. Unfortunately the condo looked 10x better with our Furniture in it so I’m trying to figure out a way to get nice furniture back in the place temporarily, just for the showings until it sells.
